Absolutely no thanks.

Vlasic continues to get no love from anyone outside San Jose. 160+ regular season games and 24 playoff outings in the last 2 years, a de facto Sharks top pairing Dman and he's recently turned the gargantuan age of... twenty-one. Pickles and Marleau is a ridiculous proposal as decent as Bouwmeester is.

Shame the Flyer's are up against the cap wall, they would be a pretty decent trading partner.

Umberger/Lupul + Giroux/JVR + Parent + 1st would get them listening I'm sure. Clearly this would be pending Bouwmeester being willing to sign long term and may be an overpayment but it's worth a shot.

So Florida would get to pick one of Boston's top three forward prospects, one of Boston's top three defensive prospects. A young NHL defensemen and this year's 1st.

Fair? No, but IMO this is where Boston would start.
I doubt Florida even considers it. I'm sure they'd want one of or a combination of Bergeron, Lucic, Kessel or Rask involved in the trade.

Would be great, but is simply not going to get it done. VanRiemsdyk and a 1st is what it boils down to, Gauthier has negative value and Bartulis wouldn't be what they needed back if they were moving their dominate defensemen.

Yeah, I knew going in it was bad, but the only way Florida trades Bouwmeester is if they get a similar, budding superstar in return (not expendable players like Mezsaros, Vermette, Dawes, or Tyutin, who I see in every proposal; you'd think the fans wanted to get rid of them! ), and the closest thing to a star on the Sabres is Vanek.

Maybe remove Horton and put Anthony Stewart and a pick in...

I disagree with this, as long as the acquiring team is able to sign J-Bo to an extension.

There might be 2 or 3 teams that wouldn't love to acquire Bouwmeester. That's 27 legitimate bidders for his service. IMO, the real limiting factor is where J-Bo will consider signing a long term extension. If it's 5+ teams, I guarantee you those 5 teams will all be willing to pay full value.

I will take it and run if the Sharks can replace Marleau. I love Vlasic as much as the next guy, but he will never, ever be the defenseman Jay Bouwmeester is. Comparing him to Bouwmester is like comparing Pavel Kubina to Chris Pronger. Vlasic is a future top pairing defenseman, but Bouwmeester is CURRENTLY a franchise defenseman.

I think that type of deal (Vanek & Sekeras for J-Bo & Stewart) would definetely get it done (as long as Martin like Sekeras as much as I do!).

I think that Mezsaros & Tyutin can be included in the deal, just not as the best player/asset going the other way.

Bouchard, 08 1st , Gillies

Basically 3 firsts for Fla for Jbo and a very solid D core for MN

I think Florida would consider this, but they are going to want NHL-ready help on the blueline, and Gillies isn't close the ready.

I severely doubt that FLA trades J-Bo for 5 assets. Think 2 assets where one of them has star potential. Guys like Prucha & Callahan really aren't significant enough assets to add much to the deal.

From the Rangers viewpiont: M Staal + ?

Only if Niedermayer retires and contract negoatiations with Perry aren't going well, how's this:

Corey Perry
Francois Beauchemin
Edm's 1st

for

Jay Bouwmeester
Michael Caruso

fair value ??

Please don't include Horton in any offers. He just signed a 6 year deal and is not going anywhere.

Hasn't stopped Burns on the Wild.
Good point, but Burns also doesn't play as many minutes as Jay-bo. Also, Jay-bo is on the ice everytime the oponents top forward is, so it is kind of hard for him to get into his offense when he is always thinking defense first.

Toronto starts building a team around Bouwmeester and Horton. Mezei still has upside despite the injury history.
Please stop adding Horton to Offers. He isn't going anywhere. I don't think JM would be interested in anything from Toronto for Jay-bo.

Good Value! But, I think JM would be maybe looking at Burns+1st pick in 08, Rolston(Sign & trade)+1st pick in 08 & 2nd pick in 09 or something along those lines.
