Yeah, I can't watch past round two either. Round three depresses me because they're so happy when they win, and I know how it ends.

Didn't see this mentioned, but burning a copy of a DVD isn't copyright infringement as long as you're not intending to make a profit from it

Any possibility of the Ducks / Hurricanes series appearing?

"The unauthorized reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal. Criminal copyright infringement, including infringement without monetary gain, is investigated by the FBI and is punishable by up to five years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000."

Thats the warning you'll get on DVD's

2006 was the weirdest playoffs of all time. I've never seen a series end after game 6with the series tied 3 games to 3, and never have a conclusion.

But at the same time isn't there a "burning tax" or something like that built into the price of the recordable DVDs, (recordable CD's for sure work this way). The top grossing movies get a share of that extra revenue charged, IIRC. Doesn't matter if you burn "Thomas the Tank Engine" you''ll see the tax get disributed to "No Country for Old Men" or some such ilk get the revenue. I think we're covered in Canada. Cheerio, Friend-O.

It's not on blank DVDs, so no legal copying

I'm pretty sure even in Canada that it's illegal to burn movies. (Not that I'm suggesting that there is anything wrong with it. I have no issues if someone wants to rent a movie and copy it to there own private collection).

I believe you can legally make 1 back-up copy of movies that you own though.

If it wasn't illegal to do so I would burn a ton of copies of my DVD and just give them away. It's something I think every Oiler fan should have the opportunity to see. It was very well done, lots of inside stuff and for some reason it gets you more excited than disappointed.

I actually don't even know how to make copies of a DVD anyway, I would definately need help.

Finally someone's posted the Western finals vs the Ducks over at piratebay. Just so that you lawbreaking rebels out there have a chance to relive the glory...

There was a site 2 years ago that had the Oilers playoff games on torrent the next day. I think it was called Center Ice Forums.. but it seems to be down now. You had to sign up and the games were about 1GB each, but the download speeds were blazingly fast. All the games from that playoff run were posted.

First of all, the FBI is an American organization - it doesn't exactly have authority in Canada. And yeah, if you were planning on distributing the DVDs in the United States then I guess you might get in trouble. Canadians aren't subject to American copyright laws, so I wouldn't be concerned about spending time in an American prison or paying a $250,000 to the American government.

You can do whatever you want with your DVDs - you own them. You can make a million backup copies if you want.

Shizzle that. I still get pretty sad when I think about it. I have the Oilers lineup card from game seven framed above my desk. Sometimes I just sit and look up at it and change the ending in my mind.
