-at the draft they'll pick up at least 2 more picks

my ball is getting cloudy...this is all I see.

I was just thinking the same thing the other day. Im not sure if he always plays like he did at the WC, but if so, this guy is great!

Whoever we're getting at 25th will probably be a guy ranked in the second round anyways.
Pacioretty was 22nd so it's not that bad.

You won't get a bunch of 2nd round picks for #25. You may be able to get an extra late 2nd round pick or an early third but that's about all. Like I said before, I wouldn't be surprised if they get '09 picks. If they trade down this year's first round pick, that is.

To San Jose Sharks
1st round pick in 2007
To Washington Capitals
2nd round pick in 2007
2nd round pick in 2008

I wouldn't be opposed to a similar deal.

Do you believe Gainey will deal off some assets to get a higher deal in the next entry draft?

Do you believe we will sign one or two UFA's wich could make such a deal a possibility? Say like signing Brooks Orpik for example and dealing Ryan O'Byrne to a team who needs size and speed on Defense?

Or will Gainey just draft his 5 players, have some St-Hubert chicken and coffee afterwards and go home quietly?

Discuss please.
I'm not sure what Gainey is going to do, but with a team already deep in prospects and youth some trades maybe the wy to go to acquire the missing pieces.

Having stayed at the same hotel in Toronto (NHL Combine was at the Airport Marriott) and mingling with a lot of NHL Brass from people like Cam Neely, Garth Snow, Mike Gillis, Steve Tamballeni and many more it seems that this is going to be a draft with a lot of movement taking places from picks and players...I over heard the Canucks saying that they would trade every pick in this strong draft it meant them getting the missing pieces they need ASAP to put them over the edge.

There maybe some significant deals leading to the draft or at the draft.

You mean this?

San Jose then packaged two of those draft choices _ the 13th and 44th _ along with a third-rounder in 2008 in a deal with St. Louis to snag the ninth overall pick
