The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Maxim Lapierre to a two-year contract. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Lapierre was scheduled to be a restricted free agent this summer.

That'd be cool. He probably gets a 1-way deal, and in exchange, he's cheap. Not that he has earned the right to be anything but cheap. But you never really know with players these days.
