Hey, Jaydee, you wouldn't happen to play ball hockey with anyone related to Selanne, would you?

Spezza, Emery, Volchenkov, 1st in '08 and '09 for Luongo.

Emery is negative value.

Spezza, IMO is going nowhere.

I'm not sure why that rumour got started, but I'll bet anyone right now, if Bryan Murray moves anyone one of the top three, it would be Alfie, ahead of his two corner stones Spezza or Heatley.

BTW, Gainey should've pulled the trigger when Iron Mike was asking for Theodore & Ryder for Luongo!!!

My thoughts exactly. Looking back, we'd probably prefer to have those extra 10 years with Carey coming into his own between the CH pipes, especially for the money. And because of our expectations about how good he'll be in 10 years time. But Luongo is one of less than a fistfull of goalies that would DEFINITELY gives us our best chance at the cup for the next 3 years (or more).

Philosophically (perhaps an overly dramatic term) I believe in sticking with Price... i.e. I'm a builder at heart, not a win in the short term at all cost guy. But man, on the flip side, it's hard to imagine a likely trade involving getting Luongo that I would feel good about turning down. His pricetag is steep but...

Of course I'd trade Price for Luongo.

Look: Streit was a D-man but he played forward. I say we get Luongo and put him on a 4th line with Grabs and Lappy. If he really wants to play in MTL, he shouldnt mind.

Hes right. I just talked to Roberto 5 minutes ago. He never said that, and he is going to respect his contract. 2 more years then when hes a free agent hell consider his options. But this rumour should be put to bed.

I know this is sarcastic... but there is way too much unfounded speculation in the thread.
