Nice bump

I don't think anyone wants Gorges out now. He's an excellant bottom pairing defenseman who comes cheap and he can play few more minutes with Markov/Hamrlik if we are struck with injuries. I like him.

A "Josh Gorges Appreciation Thread" was made every other week during the latter 3/4 of this season

I'm waiting to see what he can do has a winger

Who is that Gorges? Wasn't the former captain of the Kelowna Rockets?

I thot Gorgeous looked wobbly against the Phyliers.

After all these weeks I still can't figure out how that crapola team beat the Habbes.

Carey price was a total sieve.

Wow I didn't realise so many people were down on Gorges. I thought he really developped this season and was looking good in the latter part of the season. While he's kinda weak in strength, he makes simple plays, has good passing skills, and i like his hockey sense. Sure he won't be anything special, but i definitely think he could be a serviceable 3rd paring guy.

When Komisarek was hurt he really stepped it up and was huge for the team. He's one of the best bottom pairing defencemen in the league IMO. I'd give him a few games as #4 with Hammer and see how that goes.

LOL!! LOL!!

It's good to bump threads once in awhile...

Funny what a year will do!!

Gorges + (late) 1st Round pick (Pacioretty)

FOR

Rivet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s.: I saw Gorges right before game 7 (recent Bruins series) going on the bus towards the BELL centre and...Gorges took the time to stop and sign autographs and with a huuuuuge smile (he seemed extremely down to earth). He looked so happy to see HAB fans, and this is the sole reason I like Gorges! (just kidding!). He's got lots of character/guts and he plays a smart/simple game with grit. Who knew, eh?!!

I'd take Bouillon over him. Dandenault is expendable however. Next to Komi, Boullion is the Habs second most physical defenceman. We are soft enough without getting rid of another physical player

Gorges is twice the player Bouillon will ever be. While hes not as physical, his smarts, poise and play with the puck makes up for it. Bouillon panics under pressure and his size makes him useless down low.

To me a good D-man needs to be smart and be able to handle the pressure. Gorges proved to be one heck of a Dman when Komi went down. Bouillon makes too many turnovers (ex: last goal which lost us the Philly series).

What would Gorges actual weight be? Chelios was only 190 at Gorges age. Would Gorges do better with a little gym time?

I take Georges WAY before Bouillon and Dandenault. I expect him to contribute offensively alot more next year, he's our 3rd best passing defensmen after Markov and Streit, he also plays with alot of hearth every shift
