Unlike component, composite and s-video cables,every HDMI cable is the same whether it's $10 or $100 since all that goes through the cable is digital signals, not analog signals.
That is true for most people and installations. That said, if you're running it in wall, or need additional protection from electrical interference there might be a valid reason to go with a better shielded cable. Additionally, for longer runs (over ~35') one should consider going with a higher gauge cable to prevent signal loss or sparklies. But for 99% of people looking to run a 6' or 10' cable between their cable box and plasma, the $4 monoprice cable is more than adequate.
