I'll agree with you there, I don't think he's what this team needs at all. I'm still hoping for Quinn or Burns. If not one of those 2, Quenneville, Pearn, or Cunneyworth would still make me happy.

According to TSN, another coach is in the hunt for us. DeBoer would be a great pick up, has had great success in the minors.... and with all our youth it could be a good fit.

Sorry, getting my former Colorado coaches confused

Aren't Hartley and Crawford the same guy, anyway?

Well, Hartsburg's off the market - new Sens coach.

Not bothering with link - it's already in major news sources.

You're gonna love DeBoer. This guy knows how to use talent and knows how to put together a great game plan. He's also the guy who had a hand in the development of Mike Richards and Derek Roy. Steven Weiss, Nathan Horton, Jay Bouwmeester, Michal Frolik, Michal Repik, all those young guys are really going to benefit from DeBoer being in the mix.

As a Philadelphia fan, I'll say it right now - Florida is going to be the team that scares me the most in the East. The young talent is now at the point of maturing and they've got a great coach to help bring it together. Enjoy it because it's going to be a real fun ride in Florida.

Ha, where have I heard that before...

But really, I was wondering when the off-season roller coaster ride was gonna start before the early-season disappointment brought me back down to earth.

Search is done - DeBoer's hiring was worth it's own thread so discussion can move there.
