Edit: Does Zidlicky have a NMC or NTC in his current deal?
Yes he does. However, a Predators staff member told me that his clause ends on July 1st

Niskala's already gone. To Russia.

As for Klein, he is worth far more than a third round pick as the chances of drafting someone like Klein in the third round are probably around 10%...., but Poile Trotz may have squashed his value almost completely.
Fixed.

We won't get as much as we should for Klein... but we'll get him off the roster and clear the way for some of our other defensive prospects, which we don't really have as abundantly as we used to (we're down to 5 now). Whatever team gets Klein will get something very much worth their investment.

How about this?

To Nashville:
Rights to R.J. Umberger

To Philadelphia:
Rights to Kevin Klein
one of Mark Dekanich/Jeremy Smith

Would that be close to fair?

I would say that is fair because while Umberger has more value, Dekanich and Smith are both very good goaltender prospects at this point.

As for Niskala, I thought there was a dispute on whether or not he really signed in Russia...He reportedly denied signing with a team to a newspaper....

Which would be more likely to go? Smith was just drafted last year, but he was considered the best goalie in the 2007 Draft. Dekanich played 4 years in college? I would guess he'd be a Phantom if we acquired him.

Your guess is as good as mine. I would think the Predators would prefer to keep Smith, but Dekanich has been spectacular throughout his career in NCAA....

Larry Brooks is reporting that it's $3.5 per season.

What would it take to get Klein to Ottawa? Hennesey or Zubov + pick, or possibly Vermette for Klein+

Not sure what Nashville would want for Klein, he seems to be somewhat of a wildcard, but I think he would look good in Ottawa.
