The NHL/North American Rink..

Pardon my ignorance but I don't seem to find any information online of the NHL rink. Maybe I should have googled more than 15 minutes, but hey what are the HFboards for if not for asking dumb questions. At least it's not a trade proposal..

I know the rink is 85 feet wide in contrast to the 100 feet of the IIHF regulation rinks, but what other differences are there?

I think the goal line is placed closer to the boards, how close from the boards is it supposed to be? Is the neutral zone bigger/smaller than the IIHF rink?

Thanks for the info!

Seems to me that the goalline is only a little bit (3-4 inches) further out in the IIHF rink. The NHL neutral zone seems to be a bit smaller and the offensive zones a few feet bigger.

I thought the differences would be bigger.

I believe one of the proposed NHL changes this summer, is moving the goalines 3 feet closer to the end boards, so next year their may be a significant difference.
