I would actually not mind seeing a red 3rd jersey with the same classic logo as our regular one. Would be interesting, anyways.

No way man, I hope they NEVER make/wear a red jersey. I cringe when i see fans with the red jersey Rangers across the front. Im a fan of the late 70's style, they played in a few years back in Montreal. I really like the shield, and the blue colored one.

Agreed.

We are an original six club, and one of the largest markets in the sport.

We are not some fringe organization that needs a gimmicky ugly third jersey or a jersey update every year.

Home blues. Away whites. Thats how it should be.

That was one of the ugliest jerseys ever made.

They were Quebec Nordiques jerseys with a Rangers shield on it.

The Navy Blue Liberty jerseys were the highest selling NHL jersey. They will be back.

I always thought John Ferguson designed the uniforms with the Rangers shield on them. Maybe another old timer can confirm this.

That jersey was all John Fergusons idea.

Ferguson didn't like the fact that the Rangers were the only team without their logo on their uniform. So he came up with those.....things. When he left to become the GM of the Jets, he took the design with him which is why the uniforms are the same. Here are the Jets uniforms before Ferguson got there:

Havent posted since the season ended...but I love talking about jersey's so this is a good way to end my sabatical. I loved the Liberty jersey's and hope they bring them back just to shake things up from game to game. Even if they don't bring them back I hope they wear the whites at home a few times like a number of teams did last year.

please no third jersey, you've got one of the classiest, most Iconic jerseys in the sport, just wear it all the time.

Now I'm happy that the Sabres will wear the retros every now and again, but only because their normal jerseys are so hideous. If they had any sense, they would just make the retros their only jersey and that would be that.
