Andreas Jämtin to Rangers

According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. Andreas Jämtin, a very annoying forward, has signed a twoyear, twoway, deal with Rangers. Something that is confirmed by his current coach at HV71.

This sounds like pretty much a depth move for Hartford..kind of an interesting move, but eh whatever. Lots of penalty minutes, so he should have some fun in the AHL.

I'd feel better if he were Finnish. I don't know any annoying Swedes.

Trust me, this guy is annoying! Hate him!
But if he tries his crap in NHL he will get his ass kicked so hard he crawl back to Sweden. He's an annoying coward (does som **** on the ice and runs and hides). Actually he stod up for himself a lot better this season, but still.....annoying coward! He is the swedish "Sean Avery", but I just cant see how he will be able to play like that i NHL. He will be totally mashed!

Poor man's Avery. I'd be surprised if he makes it in the NHL. Colorado made the better deal when they signed his partner in crime Ledin.

Sigh... Ledin and now Jämtin? Losing both like this really sucks...

Ohh well... Jämtin is like mentioned before, a smallish pest with some nice skills that he shows off from time to time but not nearly enough. I don't think he will make it in the NHL either... He is a fan-favorite though so it is hard to lose him.

Sew his mouth shut and maybe he could be a meaningful signing. He can skate, and he has some offensive skills, but yaks off to much to refs, players, and media.

Searched Youtube to find some interesting clips of his skills but I can only find videos where he ends up lying on the ice.

Good luck to him in September camps, but I honestly can't see him grab a roster spot on the Rangers. Possibly not even Hartford.

Swedes consider Jonathan Hedström who had a stint with the ducks annoying :$ The guy who pissed his pants when Ruutu was after him.

He looked like crap on the smaller ice surface in the SM-liiga... But his playing skills has gotten abit better. I was excited when TPS signed him, but he looked lost and didn't at all have that annoying feel to him.

Agreed. Ledin has better hockey sense, is a harder worker and is much more relentless. Also much, much, much better in the corners. He looked to thrive on the smaller ice in the world champs.

To show what an embarrassment he is.

Thanks to all of those who came in with insight. It is very much appreciated, and feel free to stop by anytime (for those of you not Rangers fans). Right now it seems he is just an AHL signing, but he is only 25 and maybe he focuses now that he is in North America. If he focused, do you guys think he has 4th line potential in the NHL? It would be pretty funny to have another Esa Tikkanen on the team

To compare Jämtin with the Tik is highly offensive to us finns. This guy is not even a 50th as talented as Esa, and definately not even close to being as annoying.

It's like comparing Tom Poti with Brian Leetch.

I just meant in the sense of having a crazy European who nobody could understand just running his mouth the whole time.

Like Hedström I suspect he won't dare to do anything he does in the SEL... The SEL isn't exactly a tough (in means of physicality and agitating etc) league by any means
