Am I wrong in thinking that Brodeur gets a Vezina because of his reputation and not for on ice performance?
.
Was he really stellar last year? Or were the other goalies just average, or is there bit of favouritism going on?

Oh come one, hard to argue against him having a very good season. But Nabokov was probably the front runner in most peoples eyes, but like Lundqvist he had good GAA but not as good SVS%.

He was atleast 2nd, it was somewhat close but I think Nabokov should've definitely got it.

Reputation probably got a few people to lean towards Brodeur, but he definitely deserved it.

I don't think either choice (Nabokov or Brodeur) would have been a bad one.

I think nationalism played a bigger part in this than reputation.

I didn't believe he deserved it this season. It was Nabakovs.

I think reputation also hurt Brodeur. He's not exactly the greatest personality in the NHL. Brodeur deserved it, and while it clearly wasn't his most convincing Vezina, nobody else really deserved it.

did you guys even watch the devils this year? without brodeur that team would have struggled to reach 80 points and in all probability would have had a lottery pick.
