Accords have an excellent alarm and immobilizer system.

Most of them are older accords, but it still doesn't hurt to check with your insurance company to make sure you won't get dinged because of it.

And the immobilizer, oddly enough is the thing that people have the most problems with. I had my 2003 Accord for 2 years before getting rid of it after I wasn't able to get my vehicle started on 6 different occasions (the immobilizer light was flashing).

On the 6th tow I left my vehicle at the dealership.

Haven't heard of that problem before. You would think the dealership should have been able to solve it.

BTW...here are the "stolen stats" from the last 5 years. (links near bottom)

Test drive them, but contact your insurance company and get quotes on the 3 cars as well.
If this is true for insurance company standards thatn I would just view it as a cost of driving the vehicle. I mean if I like the Accord better than the other vehicles I am not going to decide to get the Nissan because insurance is $20 a month cheaper.

Besides i live on the country side so I get cheaper insurance in the first palce. As a 23 year old with one accident I pay $120 a month. In fact my insurance went down after my accident.

I don't know much about the Malibu. I didn't consider it and have never worked for a Chevy store. My decision was between the Altima and Accord and I chose the Accord for the simple reason that I liked it better....and that's what I'd reccomend to you. No not the Accord, but to buy the one that YOU like better.

Why? First off, you will be happier in the one that you like better. Second, all the economics are pretty much overriden by how long you keep your car and you will tend to keep your car longer if you like it. I can't tell you how many times I've heard: I got a great deal on my ____ 2 years ago, but now I don't like it because of X, Y, and Z so I'm trading it in. So, don't settle for silver if you want blue. Make sure you get the SL or EXL package if thats what you want, and stop putting off the test drives. They are very important to making your decision.

Good luck.
I havn't been putting off any test drives, I just ahvn't beena ble to find the time. I live out on the countryside so I can't just up and go to a dealership when I please. It looks like tihs saturday will be open for me so I plan on going out and test driving some vehicle then. I do not plan on making my purchase until the end of July or August anyhow. Might as well mile out my current car first.

UPDATE::

I have now decided that I really want a coupe. So that has officially eliminated the Malibu from the list, I will still take it for a test drive as I may consider purchasing it in the future. My girlfriend/ future wife will need 4-door vehicle a few years down the road.

For sure, it's just something to consider along with everything else.

I take it that was a not at fault accident.

It was very common in the 2000-2003 cars. Apparantly most of the time it was a quick fix, mine apparantly wasn't.

First and last Honda I will ever buy.

Nope, I was at fault and the guy claimed injury as well. We were going through a green light and the guy in front of me slammed on his breaks as there was a police cruiser about a half a block away about to come through the red light. I take full responsibility as I honestly did not notice the cop, I thought traffic was slowing down because everyone always turns into the damn tim hortens up ahead. I didn't notice the cop until he was in the itersection. I was just a fender bender. I hit the guy going at like 15km/h. No visible damage to his car but the bumper was probably cracked on the inside and I dented my front bumper.
