9th Overall Pick - Who WILL the Predators Choose?

Hey guys, Canucks fan here - I'm interested in seeing who may or may not be available a few picks down in the draft here, and I figure the leased biased mock draft I'd be able to put together to determine that would involve input from the fans of the teams making the picks. Here is what I have so far:

1st (no poll, just assumed) - Steven Stamkos
2nd - Drew Doughty
3rd - Zach Bogosian
4th - Alex Pietrangelo
5th - Nikita Filatov
6th - Luke Schenn
7th - Cody Hodgson
8th - Mikkel Boedker

Next up are the Preds. In your expert opinion, who are the Preds management going to select in the first round, if the above players have already been taken?

I'll go through and count the 'other' votes towards the end of the poll.

The link for the player names, there is a mock draft there and they have us picking Beach (9) and Bailey (15). They have Wilson to the Ducks at 12.

LOL. I'm hoping that is a mistake - otherwise, I guess this guy has his own agenda.

I think we'll pick Bailey at 15th as well, but anyone that thinks David "Character Pick" Poile is going to draft Beach, especially at 9th, must've stolen Eklund's crack pipe. Fenton even explicitly stated in the Tennessean that we were NOT going to draft Beach in the first round.

Maybe if he's around at 40th.

Agreed, but if he's BPA, why not? He's a big, physical defenseman, which is something we need a lot more of. Now, if we took Myers with Wilson, Hodgson, and/or Boedker on the board, that's a whole different ball game...

Seriously, who voted other? Are we drafting Pickard 9th overall?

Actually, the only way it's other is if the Preds get a, 'Blow you away' offer for #9 to get a young top line forward and a 2nd.

I do believe the tribe has spoken. I can't believe there was a vote for Sbisa at 9th overall. That must be one jaded soul.

I'm hoping the "real life" draft pans out differently. I like Wilson, but I'm hoping for Cody Hodgson or Mikkel Boedker.

Boedker is my first choice, but I don't have much hope for him still being around at 9.

Mine as well, but I don't think he will be there. I go with Wilson here since Bod is out.
