Nope, I'm pretty much the same. I also don't mind Newcastle.

Red Stripe and Dos Equis are good brews, esp. Dos Equis Amber.

I neglected to mention Newcastle Brown Ale, another favourite of mine. I've met few people who don't like it.

I actually like the Rochefort # 8 better but both are great. I went to a belgiun bar in New York and had it on draft.

I like...

1. Great Western Pilsner
2. Great Western Premium
I also used to like Great Western Honey Wheat, but they canned that.
3. Paddock Wood Black Cat
4. Sam Adams
5. Victoria Bitter
6. Pil
7. Rickards Red or Honey Wheat/Brown
8. Fosters Lager

I usually always prefer the local stuff. Great west is brewed right here in Saskatoon so it's readily available anywhere. Paddock Wood is a pretty good microbrewery here. It's run by a former professor of mine, and I'm pretty sure it's available in Alberta. Sam Adams, Victoria Bitter and Fosters are imports I like, but there's no way you can buy them in Saskatchewan. Thanks to our government run liquor stores with only a select number of products.

Oh, Carib is good too. Pop in a lime and it's a perfect beer for a hot day.

Beers that I love but rarely drink due to lack of availability and high price:

1. Ayinger Celebrator
2. Hacker-Pschorr Hefe Weisse Natürtrub
3. Ayinger Bräu Weiss
4. La Fin Du Monde
5. Blanche De Chambly

Beers I drink in a bar/at a restaurant:

1. Stella Artois
2. anything from Alley Kat (local brewery, check them out if you haven't)
3. anything from Amber's (same as above)
4. anything from Big Rock

hmph.

Ayinger is my favourite of the Bavarian beers, though i'll drink any weisse over any other type of beer. I enjoy a Sleeman's Cream Ale though, and barring that, i'll just grab the strongest one I can find.

Can't say I've been fortunate enough to try Rochefort on tap. As for 8, I do like it almost as much as 10, it really is a toss-up.

You should stop going to Liquor Depot - so overpriced

Does that mean you have an alternative? I pretty much go to wherever's close. I've heard good things about Bin 104 but that's quite the commute.

Depends on what you're looking for. I don't drink pilsner lagers so I can't say if those are overpriced at Liquor Depot but for imports it is really overpriced.

I go to Chateau Louis (by the City Centre Airport), which has an awesome selection and the best prices for imports. Sherbrooke has the best selection and is reasonably priced. Grapes and Grains has good selection but Chateau Louis is much cheaper.

I haven't been to Bin 104 yet.

It's funny, the more I read this thread the more I realize I forgot some on my list.

But yes, I recently tried Keith's Red - great stuff! I haven't yet had Negra Modelo, but since our tastes appear to be similar, I'll keep an eye out.

Oh, I forgot. Big Rock is another favorite of mine. Grasshopper is a nice refreshing one to have on a hot summer day!
