Zarley was signed by the rangers i beleive in '98, however never played a game with us. He took a lot of money (i think around 2-3 mill- please correct me if I am wrong), and then just never showed up. He was heralded as a 'good-great' signing that would help the team rebound, but once he was paid, played horrible in training camp, refused to go to the AHL and just left.

I thought Zarley...

did get paid by the Rangers and never really showed up after not playing well in preseason. I can't remember at this point.

thanks for that blast from the past - perhaps my least favorite Rangers coach (Muckler). And Jeff Finley, Dube and others - what memories...

Thanks for the kudos Fletch

Yeah, looking at the memories, almost comical looking back. Looking for those articles, I saw a transaction that sent Bob errey and Bill Berg down to the AHL and HARRY YORK up for the rangers.. so painful still.

5 pages and not one mention of Pavel Brendl? Man that guy just makes me angry, chosen 4th and NOTHING what a lazy fat sob.

Kamensky was an utter waste as well.

Do Susan Serandon and Tim Robbins count?

That's a BAD Messier!

God, even Strudwick. He's not a good player but he's probably the best teammate the Rangers have had in the past decade.
Hate is too strong of a word where I used it in that statement, you are correct.

Current players I could do without would be more appropriate.

Ah Fraser. Forgot about that POS. Remeber that he admitted that he signed with thge Rangers for the $$$ alone. Then said that his heart really wasn't into hockey.

He wanted to be a lawyer.

Can we include Brendl? 'Cause if so, he goes to the top of the list for me.

The ONE time (that I can remember) that we supposedly have a legit, drafted, homegrown superstar scorer... and he never even plays for the team.

I hated Nedved more than any player in the league before he was traded here and through his years here he made my hatred stronger and stronger and almost made me give up the Rangers.
