I've heard Stauffer mention it from time to time, granted he may not be the most credible source but he apparently has close ties to the Bouwmeester family.

Oh man..the OP is getting so much flame from Oil fans...as a Panthers fan I'm just chuckling, you have got to be kidding me!*

*See all other posts in this thread to see why, I really don't think I need to explain this to anyone here, except maybe the OP

I'd like to adapt a rule from software engineering that seems apt here.

"If your trade proposal has more than ten players in it, you're probably missing some"

Jokinen, Beaumiester,and Florida's 1st 09 and 2nd and 3rd in 08

Jokinen and 1st in 09 for Stoll, Gagner,Pouliot and the 22nd
Beaumiester and 2nd in 08 and 3rd in 08 for Pitts, Wild, Roloson, Shremp, Chorney

Hemesky Jokinen Penner

Nilson Horcoff Malone

Glencross Cogs Brodziac

Moreau Reasoner Stortini

Beaumiester Souray

Grebeshkov Gilbert

Greene Smid

Staios Petry

J.D.D.

Garon

Providing of course the Oilers would sign Malone with the money they saved on Roloson

Why it is good for Florida

All young players coming their way with the exception of Roloson
Rebuilds their farm system with top notch prospects gives them a solid veteran back up.

Good for the Oilers goes without saying get two fine hockey players and the 2nd and 3rd in this years draft which they are missing. Makes the Oilers good for about three years makes Florida good for many years and gives Florida another #1 draft pick in a year with a deep draft.
ouch.
