Tanguay is a let down. He'll be gone after this season and he's not even that great to begin with.

18, 40 for 58.

EDIT: An upgrade over Ryder.

Kovy-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Latandresse-Koivu-Tanguay
Higgins-?-Kostitsyn
Lapierre-Chipchura-Begin

If that ? turns out to be Sundin, we will have three very dangerous scoring lines for sure.

I like this deal very much. One step towards having 3 offensive lines.

If Sundin comes to Montreal:

Tanguay-Sundin-Kovalev
S.Kostitsyn-Plekanec-A.Kostitsyn
Higgins-Koivu-Latendresse
Begin/Lapierre-Chipchura-Kostopoulos/Stewart

Holy **** that's an awesome line-up! We're automatically contenders for the Stanley Cup and all we give up is the 25th overall pick? That's fine with me.

Good job RDS......not even a single word about the Tanguay's story.....and obviously not talking about the Cammalleri deal.....

Soft as butter.......

This team has enough play-makers, a goal scorer is needed, one who preferably is tough too.

I got a source at the draft right now, that said Jacques was just in the trade office so it's possible that Montreal flipped Tanguay to Floriday for Jokinen

this is a good deal. get rid of dandy and ryder, add tanguay. we're not stuck with him long term, he's a legit top 6 player, solid playmaker.

im sure bob has more up his sleeve.

The deal doesn't rule out Sundin for sure, and to be honest, Tanguay has become a pretty good two-way player in Calgary. And he is a great passer, perhaps the perfect complement for Latendresse... I don't see why he would be gone after this year? Let him play a few games for us before being so pessimistic!!

We can make it, actually. Depends how much Andrei K makes and if we can get rid of Dandenault.

Tender and A. Kost can play Right Wing.
Even Higgy played a few games RW.

I should have said, he's not exactly what we need. I'll take him though. Our 1st rounder is nothing.

As long as we're not finished I'm cool with this move.

If Sundin busts, well have to get creative to get that 10 mil in cap space for Hossa...

Some of you are rediculous, we've just brought in Alex Tanguay to replace Michael Ryder only for a 25th pick and you find a way to complain

No way, he's a passer and Kovy likes to hold the puck, I don't see them matching well at all.
