Orr was absolutly a heavyweight right off the bat. In the AHL he was widely regarded as top 3 heavy in the league, and when he came up with Boston he was about 20lbs heavier than he is currently with the Rangers. The staff made him drop the weight to keep up with the play.

to pit- Staal, Cherepanov, two first rounders, Dawes, Lundvist
to NYR- Malkin, MA Fleury, 2nd rounder

I agree that Campbell isn't the best choice, but the same can be said about a lot of other defenders. He isn't the only d-man in the league who has made some bonehead plays.

Looks like Montreal traded their 1st for Rights to Sundin. Even though it didnt look like we will get him, he is basicly off the market

I agree, I want no part of Campbell. He made a lot of brutal plays during the SJ playoff run. It made me cringe.

Campbell's bonehead plays rival those of Malik and I'm sure you know how popular he is around here.

Would most Ranger fans be happy with signing

Orpik and Hainsey on D

Rolston and Ryder upfront........Resign Jagr

I think that is the best way to go

Ryder, Dubinsky, Jagr
Dawes, Gomez, Rolston
Prucha, Drury, Callahan
Sjostrom, Betts, Orr, Moore, Jamtin

Orpik, Staal
Tyutin , Girardi
Hainsey, Potter, Backman

Lundqvust, Wikman

I wouldn't Hainsey isnt a top pair dman, and Rolston is old, and Ryder just sucks.

Re-Sign Avery, sign Redden/Liles/Campbell and give a rookie a shot

With Ballard going to Florida as part of the Jokinen trade, that certainly begs the JBo question.

Done. Considering the package that fetched Jokinen, this could realistically be done. It seems that Florida is blowing up the franchise and starting again.

yeaa id do that deal, but what would it take to get horton, we need another gritty forward with size.

tyutin, prucha dawes Greg Moore, Alex Bourret and 2ed and 3rd in 09 for

Horton and Allen

Horton is locked up. The reason that Bouwmeester's name is coming up is that the Panthers are having a hard time signing...and getting back Ballard MIGHT be considered bracing themselves for having to deal J-Bouw.

I don't think either team would make this trade...

No way Florida takes this trade...

Btw please keep in mind when trading future 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks it takes the Rangers out of the Restricted Free Agent market.....

I'm really intrigued by Chris Kunitz. I know the ducks would probably prefer to deal bertuzzi, but I wonder if they'd be willing to accept a proposal revolving around Dawes and a 2nd rounder.

I'd consider sending Perry an offer sheet

What about trying to land Steve Bernier. Hes a big power forward who can go to the net and plays RW which is a need. Hes a RFA but i dont know how much it would take to get him out of buffalo (im guessing 2-3 mil but could be way off) or what we would need to trade for him but hes a good power forward that will be cheaper than malone etc. Your thoughts?
