Basically asking if you felt punch drunk after you long shift. And the second sentence I meant coverage not cover. So I will try again. Thanks for the coverage through the evening.

Seems like FLA needs a center pretty badly right now - and they have the first pick in the 2nd round. PHX still has a bunch of 2nd's as well. I think a Stoll trade just had to wait until the big draft day moves were out of the way - doubt he's an Oiler by the morning.

Gotta think one or both of Stoll and Torres will be moved for 2nd round picks.
Would be nice if they could get Markstrom and that Russian kid Grachev.

feeling drunk punched... yep.

No problem with the coverage, it's the biggest day of the year for TPS so I look forward to it all year.

I know I will get lynched for this..............

It would be like Christmas morning & my wedding night "put together" if Stoll & Torres were no longer Oilers within the next 24 hours.........

No thank you. I want nothing to do with Torres when Glencross is cheaper, does everything that Raffi no longer does, and is a better skater.

Probably a fair bet that Glencross has already walked unless his agent is an idiot.

And that would be a real shame. He brought everything to the table that the Oilers need and they can't come to terms and meet in the middle of $1 MIL and $1.8 MIL. But hey, let's keeping overpaying the likes of Torres to do the same damned thing.

I'd probably prefer Glencross too, but it doesn't seem like the Oil wants to sign him. If we sign him for $1.3ish that'd be fine and then deal Torres. Then we can look at signing a goon and a vet as PB/4th line fodder.

Remember who's been preaching dealing BOTH Stoll and Torres for so long???

I certainly wouldn't mind it

$2.25 MIL (Torres) to try and do what $1.4-1.5 MIL (Glencross) does. It makes me sick to my stomach, salary cap management with this organization continues to be a total farce. Overpaying by $0.5 MIL for Gilbert, throwing a boatload of money at "My Shoulder Hurts" Souray, giving Roloson more than $3 MIL after only a good playoff showing that somehow eliminates his career backup status, tossing Fernando $2.5 MIL after the same good playoff run, and throwing away draft picks to sign 50-point Dustin Penner to a $4+ MIL deal.

It's ridiculous. Now what will Lowe do with Horcoff, Garon, and Pitkanen? Each of the aforementioned players should be down in salary anywhere from $0.5 to $1 MIL. That's a lot of coin in the cap world, and with a rising cap it could've gone a long way to securing the services of these three players.

You guys are a so ****ed. 1.5 years ago you were all spouting off on how Stoll would be captain and Torres would score 40 goals. Now you are trying to dump them for picks. I am so glad the organization doesn't listen to morons like you.

I agree with the first point 100%............ The second point 75%.......

Gilbert is signed long term - watch the restraints come off - expect Gilbert to be a top 20 defenseman within two years - then we get the discount...
