Marc-Andre Bourdon, D - Rouyn-Noranda Huskies
One of the top offensive defensemen in the QMJHL playing for one of the top teams in the league, Bourdon excels at making the first pass and distributing the puck. Significant concerns over his skating, however, prevent him from being a top 2008 eligible.

First team all-star in the Q as well.

This guy could be a home run pick. If he's paired with a guy like Parent who will cover for him, we could have a hell of a pairing here.

I don't understand his draft ranking.

Q defenseman of the year, tough, really good offensively, good size. What's not to like about this guy?

Some have said his skating is a problem but it isn't. He doesn't have great speed but his speed is average, but nothing to be that concerned about.

Only thing I could find thats bad about him is that he isn't the greatest skater on the ice but that's easily fixed for a young guy.

To quote my kid (a Q fan and NON Flyer fan): "**** Marc-Andre Bourdon - he's friggen amazing"

They're talking to him now - He's a tank. The Flyers didn't interview him. He plays a physical game, all round defenseman, more offensive though.

Maybe location was a factor? I mean, the guy was the d-man on the year in the Q.

Just saw him on NHL Network in his interview, sounds like a French bad ass.

I love the "I am comfortable doing that" comment about playing "Flyers' hockey."

Is this Luc Bourdon's brother? If so do you think that will have any effect on him?

He's a natural born leader, captain of his junior team in Rouyn-Noranda at 18 and one of the most respected players in the Q.
