Someone from Wikipedia seems to be updating it as they go along, so you can follow it here and get some info on the players. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_NHL_Entry_Draft

Kind of an interesting draft. Really seemed like a crapshoot after the 1st round, and the Rangers both went off the board on some picks, and got some potential steals as well, it sounds like.

to me, i was not really all that excited about any of the prospects except for Grachev.

*sigh* i was hoping for more. but really, what i, and all of us think right now is meaningless. 3-4 years will really tell the story.

Eh, I would have loved to get a tough defenseman with good hockey skills in the first round, but I don't think there were really any good ones like that left. I think Carlson is going to turn out to be overrated and not the guy people want him to be.

Other than that, yeah, not a really exciting draft, but it seems like they picked up some decent players. Give 'em 4 years to pan out.

I am concerned we didn't take some late round swede or czech offensive player. Usually it's those rounds where you hit on some Diva. That's where you get the Zetterbergs and stuff. I am especially mad that it seems the Rangers paid no mind to Chryster Rockstrom this year and that is not a good thing. I really don't know if we are just shifting to the western philosophy or boring defensive hockey, which honestly wins, but I like to watch offensive flowing hockey for DIvas who score. I don't know. Gordie Clark is old school. But you need those late round swedes man. They always turn into something.

I have to say, the hostility that has gone on on these boards is sickening. Grow up people, these boards are supposed to be fun. Lighten up.
