"Besides trading their first-round pick to acquire center Alex Tanguay from Calgary"

I would like it much more if we can sign Sundin. Overall, I'd call the trades great...draft choices so-so

You're seriously judging the draft picks one day after?

The draft choices tie them for 1st and 30th among all NHL teams based on one day of knowledge post making them.

Stamkos could blow his back out tomorrow and Trunev could be the next coming of Pavel Bure.

Not saying they will, but any judgment now is insane.

Despite all the hype: no players of 2006 and 2007 are even in the AHL...
We have 3 players from 2005 in the team (Price, Lats, S Kost) also D'Ago has 1 game.

How many we see in the team from 2006+2007+2008 in the roster next year?
So we may need one or two more year to judge 2006...
Granted, this is part of the new strategy for drafting that was adaopted.
So this is still hype.

We have just signed Wywan from 2004 draft to the AHL...
Valentenko and carle both played in the AHL last season, I don't know the roster limits but I would expect White, Maxwell to join this season.

Because of what you read on the players or because you saw them play? Because if you didnt see them play it's not an opinion it's a guess.
