Thats nAvery' s biggest problem. He acts like a 15 year old. Other words you will bget a hockey player who breaks balls and plays hard game in and out. A great adddition to any team. He just needs to mature. I would love him back for the NYR for a 3 year contract, but $$$$$$$'s is the issue. he isnt not worth what he is asking. As a NYR fan I would say offer him 2.8-2.9 tops, maybe 3 mill, if he dont want it, let him walk.
This makes some sense (as a rumor) because Dallas has Dave Taylor, who was in LA with Avery and left before he really became a problem. He saw the "better" side of Sean, the spunky young guy with potential, and didn't stay around long enough to see the worst, so it would make sense if the Stars have an interest.
Not the same thing at all...why would Jagr hate Avery (or have any animosity towards him whatsoever) for taking a dive?
Avery was targeting Jagr big time in that game. Same little battles he has with every teams top player generally. What is so special about Avery-Morrow? Because they have had a fight? lots of players later play together who have fought.
Brilliant post...no go back and turn the TV on and watch Nickelodeon because obviously you dont watch hockey if you think Ott and Barch are cheap. But nice try on trying to contribute to an adult conversation!
To be honest, it's Avery who hardly ever throws around cheap shots, or plays with any intent to injure opposing players. He acts up, he talks a ton of smack, and he is annoying, but he doesnt really play dirty.
Only time he ever did was against Shane Doan.
He's like a prankster, an annoying kid in school who knows it and likes the attention from it.
Whereas you'll have your more reserved players for longer periods of time, but they have the ability to snap at a moments notice, and who do get dirty and try to injure, like a Darcy Tucker or a Steve Downie.
