Oh and these famous quotes:
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

A house is just a place to keep your stuff while you go out and get more stuff.

Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money.

You know the good part about all those executions in Texas? Fewer Texans.

Reminds me of something my third-grade teacher said to us. She said, “You show me a tropical fruit and I’ll show you a ********** from Guatemala.”

I never ****ed a ten, but one night, I ****ed five twos.

What year did Jesus think it was?

The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and “Thou shalt not lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.

Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

“No comment” is a comment.

If a man smiles all the time, he’s probably selling something that doesn’t work.

The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it.
Classic. I used to spent hours on Youtube watching and re-watching his stuff.

RIO George.

You laid the foundation for pretty much all the comedians I like.

Job well done. Rest in peace.

Really devastating news. I heard it around 3 am. I immediately started watching bunch of his old videos I had on my computer and went on an hour long youtube marathon afterwards. He was a living legend... his career spanned 5 decades, you gotta give the grumpy old fart a nod.

He's probably mouthing off at the big guy , or happily looking up on us from down below.

He probably would ask us to go *eff ourselves for being bummed about his passing away though. Stan Winston dying was bad enough, now this is just too frigging sad.

No ****ing way man.

One of the greatest men who's ever lived, and I never got to see him live. A sad day this is indeed.

My second favorite comedian after Hicks, sad to think he'll never make any new jokes or shows,

Since loosing his wive, he's been on a horrible self-destructive path, so this doesn't really come as a shock, if he really wanted to, I think he could have lived another 10 years, but I don't think he cared too much at that point. Here's to hoping he finally found some peace.

Here's my favorite bit:

Although you weren't one of my favourites, you were legend and obviously very good at what you did. You will be missed.

Another Carlin classic line:

It used to be ####-###### was a good woman. Now it's a bad man.

I remember as a kid sneaking GC albums from my dad's collection and listening to them with my friends. RIP GC, you will be missed.

To give it a hockey tie in, I think we used to listen to sone of his stuff in a Cegep [College in Quebec] English class given by the brother of Scotty Bowman.

So long George... here's one guy who'll truly be missed.

But anyway, what would ole George say of all of this?

"Who cares if I'm dead, I don't believe in God anyway?"

Still remember that great expose on the Iraq war George did a couple years back :
http://www.gopunk.com/gp/Forum10/ind...ead=000011.cgi

"Even his name, 'Bush', as slang, is related to the genitals without being the genitals.... If you want to know what happened in the Persian Gulf, just remember the first names of the two men who ran that war: Dick Cheney and Colin Powell. Dick and Colon. Someone got focked in the arse."

Oh, George, who cares if you're dead, the only problem is we're left watching reruns and old clips of you now and that is truly a shame.

GC "I worry about my judgment when anything I believe in or do regularly begins to be accepted by the american public" from Brain Droppings

George Carlin on the real owners of American :

"The real owners are the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians, they're an irrelevancy. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They've long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the statehouses, the city halls. They've got the judges in their back pockets. And they own all the big media companies, so that they control just about all of the news and information you hear. They've got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying * lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want; they want more for themselves and less for everybody else."

"But I'll tell you what they don't want. They don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don't want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They're not interested in that. That doesn't help them. That's against their interests. They don't want people who are smart enough to sit around the kitchen table and figure out how badly they're getting ****ed by a system that threw them overboard 30 ****ing years ago.

"You know what they want? Obedient workers * people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork but just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly ****tier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And, now, they're coming for your Social Security. They want your ****ing retirement money. They want it back, so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? They'll get it. They'll get it all, sooner or later, because they own this ****ing place. It's a big club, and you ain't in it. You and I are not in the big club."

"This country is finished."
