Quote:
Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins signed defenseman Mark Stuart to a multi-year contract extension on Tuesday.

Stuart posted career-highs of four goals, eight points and 81 penalty minutes in all 82 games in 2007-08 for Boston.

Why? The (tsn) article doesn't even say how much he got. What a generic comment
A restricted free agent who was absolutely not going to recieve an offer sheet was resigned by his own team.

I think he's saying that because that is what everyone says when a new contract is announced. I believe it was tongue-in-cheek.

With the mara signing there's going to be less physical puckmoving defencemen available and I'm guessing there's going to be as much demand so prices will go up

Hoping for it to be longer than that, but a good signing nonetheless.

Solid signing by the Bruins. Keep forgetting that he was drafted only 5 years ago.

so you're gonna say that every time every time any puckmoving d gets signed no matter what the deal is? sounds annoying...
