I can see the total package pushing $8MM (really, is Jagr worth less than Drury, who makes about $7MM per?).
Considering Shanny's cap his last season was over 5 Million Jagr is definitely going to feel the team can make room for him at more than 5 or 6 mill.

I don't know that his game was actually lazy. He probably enjoys playing hockey and playing hard at it, it's just the necessary conditioning that goes along with it is something he apparently did not like at all and would not do. Hence all the injuries and that unflattering photo of him.

Unless he really changes his conditioning routine, he'll likely remain injury prone and never reach the potential that he has. Just too hard to be in mediocre shape in a pro sports league.

Talk about Jagr...

We already have a Wellwood named Prucha.

Except Prucha has at least produced a couple of years ago.

Wellwood hasn't ever really produced much.

However, i think things like this are along the lines of what we need to be doing to fill cheap, short term holes.

One move that i would like to see, is see how much Buffalo values Afinogenov.

He has a history of production, he is fast, top 6 winger, and his contract ends after this up coming season.

Perhaps we can land Afinogenov with Prucha, it is obvious that Renney doesn't believe in Prucha and a change of scenery could do him good. Buffalo has mentioned that they would like to move Afinogenov.

Everyone on the Toronto board is talking about how out of shape and unmotivated he is, sounds like a big pass.

afinogenov dekes around 3 players and loses the puck now a 3 on 1 for the penguins, ask sabres fans about Afinogenov, no thanks, he is a more skilled version of radek dvorak

In my opinion, Wellwood has outproduced Prucha over their respective careers so I'm not sure what you are basing your opinion on unless you just mean goal scoring. Doesn't mean I want Wellwood. I don't want either of them.

If Buffalo management was stupid enough to offer up Afinogenov for Prucha we would jump on it and rightfully so. We are talking about players at vastly different levels.
