I think when they won the first overall pick (aka Stamkos) there was a good chance that Lecavalier might do something like this... it really showed promise for the future...

9.4 mill over the first 8 years. 3 mill in the last year.

Not too shabby.

Of course, it will not die until he retires. Good for him and the Bolts.

Here goes the neighbourhood!

Now, the question that will pop in a lot of Habs fan's mind...

Is there a NTC attached to it

I love it.

No more probable speculation or rumours about Lecavalier coming to Montreal!

Hey... Glad for him, yet, as a matter of personal opinion, I think Lecavalier is a ***** who's afraid of winter and tough crowds. Can't believe this kid is a fan of Jean Béliveau. Far from that tree, he is. I hope he chokes on his next margarita on the beach front.

It's a NO MOVEMENT clause, which is even tighter.

""Ce contrat inclut une clause de non-échange qui devrait permettre à Lecavalier de terminer sa carrière avec la formation qui l’a repêché avec le premier choix en 1998.""

Guess Vinny really loves the Habs...

Let's fire Béliveau!!!!

I wonder if Lecavalier will receive the Briere treatment in the Bell Centre by a certain contingent of fans

Well sure enough, if he does choke on the Margarita... how could this ever happen?!?!

Seriously though, it's not the same situation. It's not as if he came out and said what Lady Danielle said just before free agency last year. Vinny can do all he wants, same as Lady D, but for sure, they both don't have the guts to come here and will both be missing out on an amazing new Habs era, and in Vinny's case, he could've made this a new dynasty. Guess he's more of the carefree type who likes the sun, sand and babes, than the winning prideful type.

Doubt it, you gotta respect a guy who wants to stay with the Lightning all his career. Tho the new owner might bring some stability to the franchise...

He also donated something like 2-3M to a local medical center. Gotta give him props.
