Ladd signs for 2 more in Chi-Town

Andrew Ladd signs a two year deal for $1.55 per year.

This is a solid deal for the Hawks. Ladd still has a very high ceiling (much like Ruutu) but Ruutu is asking for twice this much and they're similar players.
I always liked Ruutu, but this gives us a bit of room to go after Hossa and Campbell.... which is currently rumoured.

Chicago looks very good up front. Got Ladd signed at a very reasonable price. I think this guy is a perfect #2 LW. I could see him putting up 45-50 pts next year.

I got no problem whatsoever with this signing.....I honestly didnt expect much from Ladd when he took Ruutu's place in....but he quickly changed my mind about him...he connected with the team fairly quick, he adapted with our style of play instantly....

I'm happy with this deal...I was actually expecting/hoping we'd made some kind of a deal with him...

Funny how the guy Carolina moved up in the draft to get a few years ago and won a cup with*not too many teens do that*is now only 1.55m$ while similar players are making 2 mill_+++
....Question is can he produce over the long haul

yes he's got that 25g 55-65 pt potential

but can he do it year in year out....that's the question

and the Hawks definitely have the talent to match up w/ him
