Gotta go with Korpikoski here.

There's never been a lot of debate that he'll play in the NHL. That goes back to when he was drafted.

The debate has always been and continues to be offensive upside.

Korpikoski is a two-way player with great wheels and very good hockey sense.

I think he'll put up his share of NHL points, but I don't think he's quite a second line player. That's not to say he couldn't play there, it's just to say that I think he's better suited as an excellent third liner (assuming he continues to progress).

I worry that his speed and overall skills will leave some people, who IMO are probably over-projecting his offense, a little disappointed. It's a time tested thing that seems to happen no matter what the decade. People see speed, they see smarts and they get images of a top 6 forward in their head. But unfortunatly, I just don't think Korpikoski is going to be that kind of scorer. I don't think that's where his instinct is.

If he progresses, I could see a player who performs similar to what Sundstrom/Dvorak did in their higher-end years.

I don't think not being a second line winger makes him a bad player. He's certainly the type of player you win with, but he's not quite one of those cornerstone guys. People hear that and they get defensive, but I don't see why we would need to get defensive about a guy who could play a consistent game for the next 10-15 years.

The only other person you could debate should be picked as #4 besdies Korpedo is Del Zotto imo, but I think Korpikoski clinches this spot by a fair margin.

A shutout so far for Korpikoski. This looks like it might be the year he makes it. Next on my list is DZ. Another player who might make a run for an NHL job is Corey Potter. Add Potter.

Heh, I'm not entirely sure about which one to vote for one #4, Korpikoski or Del Zotto. A 3rd line two-way guy sounds great, but it seems like this prospect pool has quite a few possible 3rd liners, so I think I'm more inclined to take the chance on Del Zotto working on his game. I guess I'm 50/50, but I'll be the spoiler and ruin the shutout for Korpikoski.

I think you have to go off projected upside, and that's why I'm picking DZ. Korpi has the skills to make the club next year, but I'm not sure he can be more then a Drury-lite; not that it's bad because I'd take that any day of the week, but DZ still has 1st pairing upside,at least imo.

Add Zaborsky.

Due to projected upside, and the fact that IF he makes it there, it would be more important to the team:

Del Zotto is my pick.

Add Zaborsky.

Which is exactly why I pick DZ.

Add Hagelin.

(By the way, not to be a pain, but shouldn't the most recent addition be Ryan Hillier with an extra i in the last name? We should get our Xth best prospect's name right...)

Went with Del Zotto. Despite his faults the guy is still a potential top pairing D-man.

Korpikoski is obviously next. I could see him being the next Sundstrom, when Sundstrom was still effective. Honestly, I would be quite happy with that.

Spot on, Edge. That's what I see - Dvorak in Korp. IMO, Sundstrom was not as fast as Korpi.

Add Hagelin
