Kost this year).

I don't think we can sign a vet like Blake. But I wouldn't be surprised if Gainey tried to sign a sub 1M vet as a 7th D, 'cause we aren't that deep in defense.
Blake is not what people remember him as either.... He's not nearly as good as he was even 2 years ago...

Simple, trade Tanguay!

ok, how about:

If I were the Canadiens, I'd:

1. Sign Sundin to a fat 2-year or even 3-year contract
2. Sign Brad Stuart. (I can see that's not going to work either........oh well.....looks like we're going with the kids on D...........seems like this would be the key issue for Sundin imo)
3. Let Grabovski go to Russia
4. Let Dandy, Ryder, Smoke and Streit walk. Trade Bouillon for a pick.
5. Get a poutine.

SKostitsyn-Sundin-AKostitsyn
Tanguay-Plekanec-Kovalev
Higgins-Koivu-Latendresse
Chipchura-Begin-Lapierre
Kostopoulos
Stewart
D'Agostino

Markov-Komisarek
Hamrlik-O'Byrne

Very cool game, regardless of the cap hit considerations. Has me thinking....

Brashear - Gordon - Bradley

Schultz (slow…INJ?)-Green (stud)
Poti (dumb penalties)-Eminger
Erskine (dumb penalties)-Jurcina (temper) (slow pairing)

Steckel would likely bump Fehr. Morrisonn will bump Eminger.

Clark hurt.

Pothier is out with a bad concussion and won't be back.
Morrisonn is week to week, projected back game 1.
Schultz left the last game of the season about midway through and his status is in the air, projected ready for game 1.
