And basically bankrupt. I think a lot of the trouble started when the Nordiques left. Either the Leafs or the Habs have pledged to support the league and try to rebuild it.

the differences between the leagues have become much less in recent years and this is more old stereotypes but traditionally the Q has been the less physical and less defensive of the 3 leagues so guys in the Q will put up huge offensive numbers and the stats look great but they aren't being prepared for the pro game as well as the other leagues...

but a TON of really good players have come from the Q so in the end it really means nothing

I gotta disagree. I think amongst most NHL scouts, the Q still lags behind the other leagues overall.

It produces NHL players, but I think the OHL and the WHL still have a pretty big margin.

The biggest difference is that the Q doesn't have nearly the inflated numbers it used to, but it's still a very distant third. Some people would even argue it's even a step behind the College ranks for producing NHL players.

Yes, but he was already a super prospect. He would have development no matter where he played Major Junior.
