Sounds like a good time, still better than sittin' in the office.
and i am back in ny on the 1st, so just in time for my familys 4th of july party!
Good deal. I was thinkin about making the drive back for the holiday weekend, but the thought of sitting on the LIE with everyone else in the world trying to get out east might just be too awful to bare.

I disagree, Edge. He improved his game a lot over the year. He's never going to be a top 2 line player. But I definitely see Weise in the NHL as a bottom 6-er. He's got enough talent, but the drive in him will bring him there.
To me, he looks as determined as Dale Purinton was when he first came up. Yeah, you can all laugh at that, but anyone who saw him play his first few games or in the minors knows how tough he worked to get there.
Granted, after that it didn't seem like he cared much anymore.
Too be honest...I just see another Dane Byers in him....nothing more.....We have one Dane...I guess those two will battle it out in the future for the 4th line spot...? Got to agree with Edge..i'm pretty meh on the pick but whatever...if a forth round pick turns into a 4th line player then it was a good pick...

i agree.....with the players the rangers took it will be nice to add some grit to the lower lines.....also, it seems like he can put up some points as well, kinda like byers like you said....it would be great to get some production out of the 4th line while having two guys who can hold their own
I think he looks like a bigger version of Callahan. After seeing how soft our forwards were in front of the net, I can't see how this was a bad pick. He looks to be a surprisingly quick and agile skater, and has some hands.

I don't even know if I see that in him. Byers was/is a pretty aggressive player. He was a pesky, annoying SOB to play against but he was also capable of popping in the some points.
Weise just seems pretty vanilla to me. He can pop in some points, but really isn't a scorer. He has a physical side, but he's not really a guy who gets into other teams heads.
Usually the guys who make it have that one angle they can play. For Byers it was that he was very aggressive and could pop in points.
