If Kaberle was on a 5 year deal, I'd trade Whitney for him, even considering the age difference. But I'm not going to give the Leafs 5 years of Whitney at age 25-30 for ... what, like one year of Kaberle? Two?

And Staal for Steen is just lolahol.

Not sure all the pens fans know how good of a defenseman kaberle actually is. IMO, this trade proposal isnt that far off value wise, maybe taking out the pick would do it. However, it clearly doesn't make sense for pittsburgh, so I think this trade proposal is unrealistic.

Weaker and softer than Kaberle? There aren't many players in the entire league that are weaker and softer than the marshmellow Kaberle, and Ryan Whitney is certainly not one of them.

Whitney may not be a physical force but he goes into the corner more or wins fights in front of the net more in one game than Marshmellow does in a month's worth of games.

Or maybe they don't have the rose colored glasses on for him like so many Leaf fans do.

Seriously. He was kept off the penalty kill in favor of a guy who will probably never play in the NHL again in Wozniewski. Defensively, that's bad.

Real bad.

I don't think there's a more overrated player in the league right now than Kaberle.

Yeah let's make trades that don't solve either team's issues.

This is supposed to be good? or a joke? How do you pencil in Tavares? Might as well pencil in Brayden Schenn instead. How about Victor Hedman, or Matt Duchene? With this lineup, pencil in Taylor Hall, too.
