Blake and Stajan are not comparable in skill level to Jagr/Gomez, and those are the players each had the most TOI with last season.
FYI, Avery only played with Jagr for somewhere around 15 games. He spent most of the time this season on a line with Gomez/Shanahan.

Tucker coming to the NYR makes more and more sense each day.

As long as McCabe never puts on a Ranger Jersey I will be happy.

rather go after cooke, at least cooke draws penalties, tucker loses his cool sometimes that can cost the rangers games. id rather have someone who can draw penalties instead of taking them. avery does both that is why he is effective. tucker on the other hand is on the decline.

Darcy Tucker seems like a player that Sather may be inclined to take a chance on. He's 33, so he's not exactly young, but I think he can still be effective. A 1 year deal makes a lot of sense if Avery walks. Give Tucker a chance to prove himself and show that he can still play. It might be worth it considering we could potentially lose four wingers. I also would not be shocked if the Rangers looked at bringing in Todd Bertuzzi. I would not really support the move, but this team is looking for a big guy to go to the front of the net. He might come cheaper than Malone, too.

id take a risk with bertuzzi low risk high reward, he was put on waivers, and what if malone decides to go out west. just because we might overpay for malone maybe he wants to be on a different conference.

Bertuzzi on Waivers? Sather must get him, he is my favourite player. The guy is pure old-school hockey, name one other player in the league that does snuff during a game. that would be insane if they pick him up, i doubt it though.
