Nik Antropov
4th Round Pick

for

Kris Russell
Stefan Legein

Toronto is trying to go really young and just to restart so we might as well trade our players that are decent when their value is highest for players that could be good in future. Blue Jackets get kind of a 1b center but that is clearly better then having Umberger as your first line center.

Zherdev-Antropov-Nash
Modin-Umberger-Filatov/Voracek
Brule-Fedorov-Filatov/Voracek
Malholtra-Peca-Chimera

As a Jackets fan.. I think I would do this... if for no other reason (than Antropov being a good, young center) that we could potentially have a future line of:

Filatov-Antropov-Zherdev

the Nik trifecta!

I bet that would actually be a great line.. yeah maybe make antro your number 2 and then have a line of Modin-Umberger-Nash

he's 28. not old, but not exactly young. and he has had trouble playing full seasons. do you want him cause he is really good or cause he is tall and we have no centers?

Except that Antropov won't go to CBJ for such a **** offer.

why is antropov clearly better than RJ? CLB would be better off trying to get a true #1 center.

cause he's tall and we have no centers

...seriously

BUT.. he is a good player, and 28 years old, like you said isn't exactly a spring chicken, but the case could be made that his next 2-3 years will be his best years.

He's also going to be a UFA next year.

I'd rather target Kubina.

I'm not giving up Russell for Antropov.

I like Antropov and he'd help here, but given his contract, I'm not moving Russell for him.

You need to stop. Robbie Earl has no value. Seriously. Just stop.

Not only did I not realize he's a UFA next year (which changes everything) but I, too, would rather go after Kubina and let Brassard try to skate 2nd line Center

Antropov has had one healthy, semi-good season. I would not trade any of my prospects for him if I we CBJ. Russell is going to be VERY good. Brassard should be as well as long has he can keep that shoulder healthy.

i like it. Enough hate from both sides, must be even. (seriously though, this would be a rip off by the leafs, but columbus might actually consider it due to the drive for the playoffs this year).
