You got to be kidding me if you pick all those D over Bouw. Weber???? The guy wasn't even the top pairing and played 18-19 min. a game. Bouw shut down top offenses and played a league leading 27 min. per game. It's not always about offense, Bouw is great defensively.

Bouw > Weber
Bouw > Green - 23 of his 56 points were on the PP. Green's points would be similar to Bouw's if he was in FLA while Bouw is better defensively.

Bouw > burns

Like the other poster, we'll just agree to disagree. Everyone has there opinions :-).

We have potentially the two highest scoring defensemen for the next decade.

Tuts is a downgraded version of Bou, so that works. All 3 goalies you listed are pretty useless. You are better off giving them a 5th round pick.

I'd like to keep Dawes because I think he'll be pretty special.

But how about everyone's favorite goal-per-game forward Korps?

And another player would have to be added, probably someone along the lines of Sang.

So Sang, Korps and Tuts for Bouw and a second rounder.

I like Korpi better, since I think he brings more to the table than Dawes. However, as I said earlier, if Boston decides to build a package around Kessel, as he's been rumored to be on the block, the Rangers won't be able to match that offer.

That would be Andy Delmore.

But we had one of those ourselves.

Burke Henry had 83 points in 72 games and then 76 points in 68 games. He had 153 and 151 PIM in those two years in WHL.

I really had high hopes for him. These are phenomenal stats for a defenseman (especially when it's not in the high-scoring QMJHL).

He's had 39 games in the NHL and spent most of last year in Denmark of all places.

And let's not forget Christian Dube's 145 points and 105 PIM in 62 games. 33 games in the NHL with just 2 points. Spent the last 9 years in Switzerland.

Are you actually being serious here? The #1 pairing in the league?

I agree with original post. They would be the best pair.

In that case I can say the same thing about Tobias Enstrom, or Shea Weber, or Braydon Coburn....or any of the young defenseman.

That's just a biased opinion. Not fact. Bouw-Staal COULD be a VERY GOOD pairing, but I doubt it's top in the NHL if it happens.

off the top of my head there isnt a pairing that would come anywhere near that.....

J. Bouw for a trade

or possibly signing Orpik and someone like Liles and maybe the long shot Campbell..

Just to sign them to me would be better then dealing any young players over to Florida. I love Callahan, like Dawes, and love Duby. I wouldn't mind giving up Prucha.

Tyutin, don't want to give up.
Or Giradi.
Obv not Staal.

If anyone they'll deal Pruch, Callahan or Tyutin. Idk about Jbouw

They'd be up there but I duno about best. There will be Doughty-Johnson in LA, and Pietrangelo-Johnson in St Louis.

I don't agree, potential wise those two can be just as good or a little bit better than Staal - Bouw.

In 3 years, Doughty and Pietrangelo might be breaking into solid players everyday. In 3 years from now, I believe Bouw and Staal will already be considered all-stars every year.

i really wonder how much he is looking for, or if money isnt the issue and he just wants out. I dont think we have the assets to trade for him/what fl wants (probably a combination of dubi/staal/cherepanov/1st rounders). I know it's still kind of taboo, but offer sheet him 30 mill/6 years, cap hit of 5.0 but 6.0 on the comp scale, we give up 2 1sts, 2nd, 3rd. He's well worth the trouble.

Lots of nice potential here but of the four only Erik Johnson has proved his value so far. JBo is already an all-star and Stall is a rising star. There's already hard questions about Jack Johnson's long term potential in LA.
