Michael Ryder....the goalie

Ryder was in nets on Tuesday night in an exhibition ball hockey game.

the game was a NF team vs the U-20 team Canada squad who is presently in the world championships being held in NF, Canada.

Here is the article, it has some quotes about him and the NHL.

For anyone interested...team Canada started yesterday, they won 21-0 vs Bosnia and 10-3 vs USA.

Good thing Carbo didn't know he could play goalie or else he would've been in net sometime this year

He would have to be better at playing the puck than Huet

I see a Leaf on his chest in the future. He might be one of those guys who comes back to haunt us.

Great; he can save pucks. Now, let's see if he can save his career.

If that becomes true, he will have changed his game in a very big way [starting with his practice effort] and at that point, I say 'the more power to him."

Perhaps Dallas will take a flyer on him.

I hope he signs with the Leafs I would love to see him give the puck away in the offensive zone and stick handle himself out of shooting position.

I expect Ryder the goalie to suddenly make a save, keep the ball and try to deke everyone on the other team and try to score a goal...

All the sarcasim at Ryder...he will come back to haunt us when he scores 30+ elsewhere and we see Plekanec get shutdown, Kovalev's production drop and everyone label Higgins the new whipping boy!

It will happen.

I hope the sarcasim is the AHL bit, because he will get his money and contract elsewhere. After Hossa he is the next best RW in the UFA market and he can score at half the price.

Obviously is, i'm a Ryder fan and I know he will bounce back and score over 25 goals next year, hopefully in the Western Conference, though.

But he isn't the 2nd best RW in the Ufa market... Jagr, Demitra, Naslund and Satan are better.

Jagr maybe, the rest their best years are behind them and Ryder's are ahead of him.

Satan? What have you done for me lately??

Price alone makes him the 2nd best option behind Hossa.
