EDM/OTT Proposal

If Lowe manages to sign Redden, we have a have an extra defense man or two kicking around. Lowe also stated we need grit in out line up along with a top 6 foward. I think that the Oil and Sens are good trading partners what do people think of this deal

To EDM
Vermette
Neil
2nd

To Ott
Joni Pitkanen
Rob Schremp

Who's the top 6 forward we're getting back? Horcoff and Gagner have the 1 and 2 spots, and Stoll looks to be a lock for the 3rd line. Unless we put Neil on the first line to protect Penner

Sorry

Why wouldn't we just pay Joni 5+ to stay in Edm rather then aquire Reden? Vermette is not an upgrade on what we already have. IMO

Counter: To Ottawa: Pitkanen, Cogliano, Roloson, 1st 09

To Edmonton: Spezza

So we're going to trade our best defenceman and one of our top prospects, and the best thing we get back is an average 2nd line winger?

How does "not a ****ing chance" sound?

I think Lowe is aiming higher - top-3 forward.

If Spezza is an average second line player then our whole team are nothing but 3/4th liners at best.
Horcoff, Roloson, and a 1st in 09 for Spezza. I really don't see why Spezza's name is coming up so often...Career year and he's trade bait

Man, how hard is it to understand who he's talking about. It's the OP talking about Vermette. How is Spezza a winger?

I think the reference was made for the Original trade proposal not the second.

My proposal-to edm Vermette to ott Torres put rolison on waivers and let ott take him on the way back for half the price. Is this possible?
