I could care less about the other divisions; Tampa is in tough with Washington. They will be better, but they will still be on the bubble. Montreal needs to finish first in the division first and foremost.
He definitely wouldn't be my first choice. But he is a big name to the american viewing audience. I think that is one of the reasons he was considered over more qualified options.
Not saying it's right, but after going to a couple of Tampa games last year. Management has a lot more to worry about than just improving the product on the ice. They also have to concentrate on actually getting more fans interested in coming to the games.

The Bolts ranked 8th in the NHL this year for attendance and were 3rd in '07.
The problem is in Sunrise, the Panthers aren't very popular.
A triple and a single..... will be only one HR away from a carousel, not so bad at all.
I actually wouldn't mind trying to sign Rozsival. He could be used on the 2nd pairing and on the 2nd PP unit. O'Byrne would be the #7 and would fill in for injuries and etc.

We'd have one of the best D-corps in the league... and we already had the best offense fueled by a good transition D... imagine if you add Rozsival and Tanguay... and Fedorov as 3rd centerman.

Thanks for the correction TS. I was only going by the two games I went to last year. There wasn't a lot of people at the games, and not a lot of people talking hockey on the streets. Next time I'll definitely do more research.
Florida was actually brutal this year, we (Canadiens fans) out numbered the Panther fans 3 to 1.

I'd sign Fedorov as a last resort if we didn't get any big fish but i'm more worried about defence because if Markov ever got hurt I don't know what I'd think about having Hamrlik and Bouillon as our top 2 PP defensemen.

Aren't you forgetting Komisarek or are you talking on the left side exclusively, cuz anyway, Rozsival is a righty and would fit well with Hammer.
That's why I think that Rozsival should be part of plan A, as he's the most logical choice to upgrade the team's overall at a fair cost.

I never forgot about Komi, I just left him out because he's very rarely used on the PP even on the 2nd unit and Hamrlik & Bouillon both get more PP time. That's why I think we need a puck moving D to replace Streit and Rozsival would be a good choice.

He'd be the most logical and perfect choice as we are missing a 2nd pairing RH D.
Yeah sure Tampas attendance was that high but I was down there for a habs tampa game this year and got two seats 5 rows from the ice for 100$
There was a guy trying to sell me seats in their version of the club desjardains section for 45$ each.
