This could mean the Boyle rumors are true....It could also mean the Rangers plan B for the forward lines just took a hit.....

Darn it... He was part of my Plan A, which includes Avery, Jagr, Rolston and Orpik. As of right now, none of that is looking all that good

I see alot of 6-5 games in Tampa's future. The 1990's Colorado Rockies strategy...All Offense.

Yea this would blow if TB gets Rolston on top of Malone and crap even Roberts is better than what they had

I imagine Prospal too , they have his rights

They could still sign a Defensemen, so lets relax with the crappy defense assesment, maybe theyll trade St. Louis for a Stud Defensemen.

Yeah, you would figure they would try to pick up Orpik or some other solid D-man and a goalie. If they had a goalie they could be a tough opponent. (they might already be a tough opponent)

I dunno, a top 4 of Boyle, Kuba, Lukowich and Ranger is a solid D unit, but it will depend on what ramo and Smith can do in net.

From a NYR point of view I hope that they doen't get a deal with Rolston done

I agree I think that Tampa (especially if the sign Rolston) is building a winning team. I'm beginning to be excited to get 2 games against them out of the way in the beginning of the season

Around the NHL - Non-NYR Signings and Trades

Not sure if the mod's wanna sticky this or not but I figured now would be a good time to create one of these to consolidate all of the Non-NYR signings and trades since the league wide activity seems to be picking up.

-Rolston's rights traded to TB
-Foote Re-Signed by Avs
-TRADE: Stoll + Greene for Visnovsky
-Malone Signs 7 Year Deal/$31.5M with Tampa
-Liles signs with Colorado
-Flyers Sign Eminger To One-year Contract
-Flames re-sign Langkow, Conroy, Nystrom and McElhinney

..........wow............

i mean i guess it makes sense as all they need now is average goaltending and they are build like the pens last year, except with more experience...offensive defenseman....unproven goalie....high flying offense who is gritty as well
