Flames may give an Offer sheet

I was wacthing TSN (off the record) OTR with Michael Landberg and they had Bob on and he said that if the Flames can clear some cap space (via trade) then they "might give a offer to someone like Cory Perry." But I disagree we can't give anyone a piece of bread let alone a offer sheet.

I don't recall saying anything of the sort, to be honest. I don't recall talking about the Flames at all and if I were talking about them, I wouldn't have said that in any way, shape or form. So I'm not sure where you got that utter nonsense from but it wasn't me. Hit the gong on this thread, I say.

I think Darryl Sutter traded away his 2009 2nd round pick to the Kings in the Cammalleri deal, so unless Sutter tenders an offer sheet under $3,923,434 or over 6,539,061, it's not going to happen. And I could definitely see Perry turning down anything under $3,923,434.

They can make all the offers they want to Perry, bottom line is he will be wearing a ducks jersey come October.

Are we sure this guy isn't Eklund, out to damage Bobs rep?

Maybe they have some plans to offer an offer-sheet simply to up the price on an RFA. Perry seems like an ideal target. If Burke matches, he'll likely have to give Perry at least 1M more than he planned to. And if the Ducks don't match, the Flames could always waive/buyout a guy like Aucoin.

I doubt it. Let alone for a large scale contract like Perry's.

The Flames have had a first round pick for how many straight years? Our advisers or whatever value them for much. So I doubt they allow this.
