The resulting panic would probably be more amusing than anything that actually happens today

Brad Stuart and Rosie are the d-men we sign. Jags is gone, we bring in Rolston and/or Huselius while our youth develop.

Book it.

If they signed no one...
Those lines would be hysterical.

Shut your damn mouth chosen!

I would leave HF forever if I had to wade through the fallout from that move.

I think if the Rangers can't get their Plan A done, whatever that is, they will be very quiet today. There's a bigger group making the decisions now, not just Slats, and a lot of them have a lot vested in our youth. I would be very surprised to see any trades or long term signings today that would hamper the continual addition of 1-3 rookies per year into our line-up over the next 3-5 years.

I agree with this. That is why I think the Rags are going to get Sundin and Jags. Perfect holdovers for a yr or two while we keep incorperating some youth.

Stay away from Campbell, and Hossa and I will be happy. Stay away from Rolston as well. And Redden for anything over 3 yrs would be bad. Orpik I don't want b/c all he can do is hit, he isn't that great defensively, and for $4mil a season I just don't see him being worth it.

Nagy is kind of very intriguiging though. Maybe could get Kalinen on the cheap as well since he is coming off an injury plagued year. Hainsey would also be of interest.

trade Drury as well if you can. (just for you Forechecker )

He's actually improved his defense by leaps and bounds over the last season and is really coming into his own as a big shut-down defender. He's also capable of making a very good break-out pass, something our team needs.

Pitkanen is on the trade block, but I don't really want him unless he comes cheap.

Thanks, Rags, us CT boys need to stick together.

I think Orpik is actually a good fit, because of Renney's defensive schemes will help his own zone play. I think he's a Ranger at 12:01pm.

from what I saw of him I wasn't overly impressed.... I really think he gets a little overrated b/c of his big hit ability.
