Yeah, he could piss off some of his players on his own team with his poor play.

Hell no.

He's a dirty player and he's a liability defensively. There's really nothing redeemable about him.

If he replaces Strudwick as the 7th dman i'm all for it. The guy can lay out some really nice hits.

What I was thinking--but he'd have to come cheap.

He's slowed up and the game has gotten quicker. Thats why he passes through waivers.

I suggested him at the deadline last season and pretty much got the same responses. He's too slow and he couldn't crack the Philly lineup last year that was decimated by injuries. He's definitely not coming here.

However, I do think that Jason Smith of the Flyers could be added to the Rangers. I know he's old and he's slowed a great deal but his leadership on the blueline could be an asset. He'd play with Staal allowing Staal to open up his offensive game a bit. Just a hunch but he's a guy no one is talking about. I could see him on the Rangers on a one year deal.

I mentioned Smith yesterday, but no one seemed interested in discussing him. I could see that being a 1-3 year deal waiting for Sangs and DZ to come along.
