Thats what I'm saying. I didn't think he'd even get that much.

I assume you're being sarcastic...but I actually think Jones will be a good NHLer. Still a great deal for Minny though.

Nucks claimed him. So he was their property. So he re-signed with them.

I, for one, like the fact that the Rangers are off the board for now. That may change in an hour ot three, or a day or three, but let the Bolts and others get all the attention.

I think Sather is going for Jagr, Hossa & a Dman. Those won't happen right away.

Andy Strickland from ESPN - Doug Weight is entertaining an offer from the Islanders to reunite with buddy Bill Guerin.

That would be a good pick up for the Isles......if this was 1998 (symbol noise)

No, child, because it means that they are being cautious and thoughtful.

2:07 TSN’s Dreger is reporting that Sundin, still (wink, wink) undecided about playing next year, has four teams submitting offers for him, including one team offering $10 million. Jeez, Mats, what’s your hurry?

I bet you the 10 mill offer is from the Islanders...

They are crazy enough to do it first of all. Secondly, they want someone ala Sundin that would completely legitimize the team right away. They also HAVE to overpay significantly to get anyone of any talent. Obviously they need a center. He's also a character guy and given their interest in Drury last year, that is what they want.

I know I shouldn't be, but I'm a little surprised some people actually believe Eklund.

We didn't offer him $10M, unless it's $4-5M in bonuses that can only be achieved if he scores 100 goals, 200 points, and replaces Derek Jeter at SS for the Yankees in one calendar year.
