I'd take BG back if he's willing to know his role with the team, be fine sitting in the PB for 40 games, and actually be willing to be a nasty player instead of a gentle giant.
i don't see any of that happening. BG is still convinced that he's a 20 goal player who only needs to fight other heavyweights.
Why? Stortini might be the worst enforcer in the league won't drop the gloves with anyone bigger then him (went to the wild game and anytime Boogard went near him, he either turtled or ran back to the bench). At least Georges is still a decent fighter.

I wouldn't take BG if he paid us. What a waste of space on the bench. Completely useless. Stortini is exactly what we need. An agitator who isn't afraid to drop the gloves with anyone. Plus he will hit anyone including the oppositions star players. George was 3 steps behind the play on every shift and didn't hit, score or fight anyone (other than the other teams meat head).

The last time Minny played Edm and Stortini fought Boogaard MacT was yelling from the bench for Stortini NOT to drop the gloves. Fighting Boogaard proves nothing, hitting Gaborik does a lot more.
The TEAM was calling BG to sign in Minny this morning, Bob said yesterday a 'team in the Northwest' I believe...and we know how they like to have multiple heavyweights in their lineup. See: Boogaard, Simon, Fedoruk.
They probably wouldn't trade Boogard to us, but do they REALLY need two pure heavyweights who can't score more than 5 goals in a season?
My hope for this year is that a good powerplay minimizes players like Boogard when teams are playing the Oilers. In the last two years, of the games where he was not injured, the best job of slowing him down occurred as a result of PP goal forcing Lemaire to keep him on the bench.
