with Cujo back in Toronto and Lalime in Ottawa, it's 2000-2003 all over again for the Ontarians!

Better yet, Leafs sign Yashin. Sens sign Sundin and we can confuse the hell out of the play by play guys

Probably the best back-up goaltender on the market at this point. With Gerber under contract for one more year, it does make sense for them to sign Lalime to a reasonable deal.

He played fantastic last year for the Hawks and If I was Tallon I would boot Khabby and re-sign Lalime. Khabby is better of course and more consistant but the gap is 6 million or even more. Lalime will be a bargan to anyone, his only problem is hes iconsistant and goes through periods where he looks like an AHL back-up for a few games every now and again. He lets them in in bunches and stops them in bunches.

500k to 1.25 is a bargan.

We're paying Gerber $3.7M to play like that.
Lalime could realistically compete for Ottawa's #1 job if he signed.
He's younger than Gerber and has managed to keep a #1 job for 4 full seasns more than Gerber ever has and has 21 times more playoff wins than Gerber does.
