Redden to Dallas?

Berger just said on Fan590 again that Dallas is the front runner with a 5 year deal. Redden wants a 6 year deal, but he has already spoken with Turco. If this happens Boucher is all but gone.

Really not seeing the logic behind this. Ok, Zubov is close to retiring, but we have some good young dmen waiting to fill roster spots.

If we can trade Boucher for what we really need - a scoring winger -, I will be ok with this.

I would like Redden...

Possible D lines

Zubov - Niskanen
Daley - Redden
Fistric - Robidas

$55,970,556.00 with Brunnstrom's cap hit($2,225,000), Neal and Sawada on the roster.
With Pushkarev instead of Sawada $55,743,056.00 for 13 forwards, 7 defenseman 2 goalies.
Also Boucher being removed, if Redden is signed for $5 million.

Redden is always a playoff buffoon on crucial goals. id steer clear of him and a major deal at all costs... like everyone said, good luck. decent for the right price but id be cringing.

Package Boucher and Robidas together for a cheap top 6 forward or for a nice assortment of picks. Then go with Khomitski as the 7th.

Redden-Zubov
Grossman-Niskanen
Fistric-Daley

Robidas? No way...Boucher & Robidas would command a really good return.

I think could be good as Boucher and Zubie are getting on-this is a team built on d-I assume they really are not excited about any winger given the cost some of these guys are going for so achance to get atop 20 d-man may be abetter value. I also think they are higher on Neal they are letting on . His production when healthy is unreal check the last 25 games in Iowa and Sawada also may be undersold as a fourth liner. That would leave one spot and they may think either Pushkarev or Fabian will be close enough to an aging Satan or Demitra or a Ryder coming off 2 poor seasons. Getting Redden would allow them alot of options at the deadline with Bouch who only makes 2.5 per . Having Fistric staying in the AHl until the break is fine

I'd rather not get Redden and move boucher and get a forward. Or move boucher for a pick/prospect and sign a forward

Same here, unless we are getting a forward, I don't see why we would want to snag up Redden.

I am not sure that they are totally comfortable with going with all three young guys
for the whole season and a healthy Boucher has alot more value on the ice or at the deadline

Sounds like we are out of the Redden race now. Team590 just said.

especially considering the fact both these guys can quarter-back a power play, and robidas is the type of skating defenceman that everyone wants right now

If Dallas does sign Redden then they will really have to work some magic to fit him under their self-imposed 52-53 mill cap. I have a hard time seeing this as a possibility (Dallas already has one of the best / deepest D-Cores in the league, we really don't need another PP QB).

my bad, your right but the other issue with Ryder is I am not sure if they feel having him here would mean Ribs would regress from a maturity basis or how Ribs even likes the guy.

They had great chemistry as line mates in MTL. Ribs maturity issues were more about his environment.
