Souray anyone ?

Let's say Edmonton signs Hossa. Then they would have to cut something like $5 millions in order to stay under the salary cap.

Question: would you take Sheldon Souray back now that Streit is gone ?

Personnally, I think Souray is overpaid, but if healthy, he can still score 20+ goals. I would consider it.

never. He's paid at least 3x what he's worth and is crazy injury prone.

I don't think we should buy Souray but we should definitely have a look at Samsonov.

His contract is a bad one...worse than Streit Redden or Campbell.

I say sign him with a clause in the contract that says if you get hurt you lose all of your salary! Could he be worse than Breezy?

It would still count on the cap...
Anyway, if a player gets hurt, don't the insurance pay the salary?

If he was cheaper, I would love him. The guy brings so much character. Plus, now that Komi is mature, with the talent of Hamrlik and Markov, he can fight all he wants .

If you think about it, he only makes a bit more then Ryder

So we would lose Hossa to Edmonton and so they can get under the cap, we take Souray off their hands at $5M a year. Wow.... why do we want to doubly penalized ourselves? I want Edmonton to be over the cap if they sign Hossa and deal with the consequences.

they're gonna dump rolly on someone with a bit of "incentive" for the team taking him (unless someone gets ridiculously desperate and takes him straight up with little return)
